The I.T.F.F.A Leinster Rivers competition was held on Sunday 20th.

The Competition was hosted by the Dodder Anglers, on the River Dodder from Bushy Park to below Orwell Park and 14 anglers fished returning 225 fish overall. The anglers fishing represented 6 different clubs; Clane AA, Dodder Anglers, Dublin Trout Anglers, Dundalk & District Trout & Salmon AA, North Kildare Trout and Salmon Anglers and the River Griese AA.

Shane Callan of Dundalk took the top honours and Alan lawless caught the biggest fish of 35.3cm.

The river itself was in great condition and is well worth a visit for a day’s fishing. Memberships are readily available from a variety of Dublin tackle shops and the Kiosk on Orwell Road and at €10 for adults or €5 for under 18s you won’t get better value anywhere.
