David Tantrum reports from Knockaderry and Carrigavantry reservoirs:
This brown trout was the last fish boated by Pierre Andre before returning home to Twickenham. He fished for three days sampling both Knockaderry and Carrigavantry. He has fished all over the world and rates these fisheries as the best value for money and visits us four times a year.

Jerry Taggart and party from Belfast fished for three days on June the 28th, staying in Kilmeaden as arranged by Michael Sheehan (our events secretary – contact number 0861073086). They said the apres-fishing was as good as the fishing! They intend to come back again too.
The water clarity in both lakes is good. On suitable nights the evening rise is frenetic, but getting the right tactic is frustrating. Where did all the fish come from!! As fish rise all round you, in Knockaderry it’s sedges, but at Carrigavantry it could be sedges, caenis or buzzers, or all three as the light fades.
Great fun!
