The North Kildare Trout & Salmon Anglers Association fished their Furlong and Coughlan competition on the River Liffey on a windy and overcast Sunday, June 12th. The wind made for challenging conditions at times, but sixteen anglers still managed to catch, measure and release forty one hard-fighting, wild Liffey trout.
The longest fish of the competition was a lovely 34.4cm trout caught by Noel O’Neill, the full results were:
- 1st Seamus Chilly Byrne
- 2nd Robbie Winder
- 3rd Joe Winder
- 4th Malcom Kilduff
