The Edenderry Festival is in full swing this week as anglers from far and wide compete in what is one of Ireland’s premier canal matches. The festival format combines a 3 Day event and a 2 Day event, and things kicked off last Sunday with a preliminary competition, but it was Monday when things really got going, with the first day of the 3 Day competition. Overcast skies and a bit of a breeze made for near perfect conditions, and the fish were the icing on the cake, as they were present in good numbers and feeding well. The resukt was fantastic weights off all sections.
