Cootehill Tourism Association celebrated a milestone with the running of the 40th CooteHill Angling Festival from the 26th to 30th of September. Five venues were fished in rotation. Annagheerin, Baird’s Shore, Mullanarry, Sillan Upper and Sillan Lower. Ninety one anglers participated, the majority being regular competitors from the UK. A very enjoyable presentation night was held at the Errigal Country House Hotel where members of C.T.A. presented prizes to the following.

- Paul Boothby 53kg 150grms
- Stephen White 48kg 950grms
- Darren Fairhurst 48kg 800grms
- Tony Hopkins 48kg 550grms & Willie Wheeler 48kg 550grms
