Limerick County Pike Anglers have eventful day for round three of their league

The Limerick County Pike Angling Association headed up the country for the third round of their winter league last week. Fishing conditions were near perfect, with low winds and little rain. It wasn’t long before texts were flying around as anglers were into fish, and it was shaping up to be a tight contest. Most of the fish were on the wrong side of 10lb, so the opportunity was there to grab the biggest fish prize, and that opportunity was taken as a fish of 13lb 2oz was landed, which looked like topping the table. A 20lb+ fish was briefly on the end of the line before throwing the hook, but then Seamus Coffee came in with a 13lb 9oz fish to finally take the biggest fish prize by a few ounces.
