On Sunday West Cork and District Sea Angling Club hosted the Master Angler competition in Youghal. The Master Angler Competition pits the winner of each clubs internal league against each other. A club can submit more than one angler, depending on the size of the club. Anglers fish over 3 legs on one particular weekend to select the master angler. this year Session 1 and 3 were on the Slob Bank, and Session 2 was on Youghal Beach.

Congratulations West Cork and District’s own JP Molloy on winning the Master Angler. It was an outstanding achievement and another title to add to his long list of angling successes which will see him captain the Irish men’s world team.

Also, congratulations to the women’s winner Clodagh Keohane. Clodagh will be the captain of the Irish Women’s world team in the next year.
