David Norman of Angling Adventures West Cork and guests had some great fishing in West Cork last week…
Had a great time guiding and coaching @storei1988 last week who is close to buying his own kayak but wisely wanted to come out with me to learn a bit more before committing to a purchase. Conditions were close to the limit at times but careful use of the terrain and good teamwork meant we were more than able to get the job done.
Despite the conditions we located and targeted some nice Pollock on Pirate Lures Teasers, Wrasser & Corsair Baitfish patterns and the finale was to introduce Stephen to surface lure fishing which he mastered in record time and got his first ever topwater fish a feisty Pollock which somehow avoided my GoPro, followed by a brief appearance by some Garfish.
Stephen then reported back the following day to say he’d also had a topwater encounter with a Bass when back on his own patch thanks to the skills acquired during the guided trip so very worthwhile all round …
