Thomas Cahill reports on Athy & District Anglers latest match, fished on Sunday…

Our first match in our mini summer league, the John Shaughnessy Memorial,  took place on Sunday. The event was sponsored by Athy Plant Hire. Fishing wasn’t easy and some weights were measured in ounces. Results are as follows.

  • 1st Chris Lawlor – 10lb2ozs
  • 2nd Tommy – 6lb 2ozs
  • 3rd Barry Maher – 4lb 8ozs
  • 4th Mick Stynes – 3lb 10ozs
  • 5th Ryan M. Olohan –  2lb 8ozs

We made a presentation to Mousey for his participation over the years, lovely to see him.
