After a sustained windy period, skipper Luke Aston was keen to exploit the recent settled weather, and headed offshore at last. ”

And it was lovely to get out there. We took the opportunity to fish the bottom and have a couple of shark rods out. I was disappointed that we only had 2 Blueshark and the biggest was only 40lbs. But the mixed fishing off the bottom was good with lots of species including a nice Blue Mouth and some fine fat whiting.

A new group arrived for their stay and kicked off their visit with some nice variety.

The last few days have seen some wind, when the estuary came into pay and produced some nice fish, but they also managed to get offshore for a couple of shark drifts and bottom fishing, which was very good.
