It has been a tough start for Ireland at the Under 21 World Boat Fishing Championships in Donegal. After two days of fishing the Irish teams lie in fourth and seventh positions, with Team Italy out in front, followed by Croatia and Slovenia.

Conditions have been tough, with practice and the first competition day restricted to the reserve area due to winds. It’s not what the Irish team trained or planned for, but that’s fishing! We’ll bring the full results next week once the final competition day is over.
