Bannow Bay Anglers are a progressive club with an emphasis on developing youth talent and introducing children to the wonderful sport of sea angling.
Secretary of the club Paula Dunphy was in touch wth a nice report on their summer programme for young anglers:
We have just finished our Summer programme of fun fishing for kids aged 4yrs to 16yrs very successful over the last two months, concluding last Saturday with awards , Certificates of Participation and the Inland Fisheries Ireland goody bags.
Well done to all the young rods who participated, and especially to their parents and the club coaches who ran the events. We love to see young anglers featuring on these pages, and look forward to seeing some of the participants with their catches in future.

Bannow Bay Angling club was founded in 1995 by a group of anglers in the Bannow/Wellingtonbridge area to cater for all types of shore angling, fishing in the estuary and on beaches along with rock fishing in the Hook Head area to give its members a wide variety of fishing and to cater for all age groups.
