Early on morning Sunday 17th of August, second edition of Lough Derg Perch Bonanza 2025 took place on magnificent Lough Derg, report the organiser Perch Master Ireland.
Twenty-three teams have entered this year but one team couldn’t make it. Checking-in went smoothly as always with help from Ollie Andries.
At 9 am after start all teams scattered on the lake, trying to find active Perch over 25cm, longer the better. First results were uploaded very fast on @FishDonkey app used for this competition.
Weather conditions were good, plenty of sunshine and a bit of wind, wrong direction, easterly wind not a favourite wind for predator fish.
Looking back at the leaderboard, it was like a rollercoaster with changes nonstop, at least first part of the competition.
All teams had time to fish until 5pm, when the app closed for everyone, and they had 15 minutes to come back to hand over the measuring boards.

After checking all results uploaded on FishDonkey app and managed to retrieve all boats of the water we could have the Prize Giving.

Now preparing for Perch Master Ireland 2025 (league which will take place next Sunday on 24th of August on a section of a Midlands river, and on 7th of September Lough Ree Predator Challenge 2025.
