Michael Murphy in our Ballina office reports on the salmon fishing on the Moy last week…

Heavy rain with subsequent high-water levels made angling on the Moy difficult on occasion during the week. Water levels at Ballylahan fluctuated substantially rising from 1.45 m on Sunday 14th to a midweek flood of 2.6 m before receding to 1.05 m by Sunday 21st September.

In terms of weather forecasts high pressure is indicated to remain nearby bringing largely dry weather conditions though some light rain or showers are still possible at times.
