Killybegs Mariners fished the 9th leg of their 2024/25 Shore League at the weekend…
19 April: A tough battle on the local beach last night with a cold north easterly and flat conditions making it a real struggle to get fish over our minimum size limit of 20cm.
A fine fish of 35cm for Pat Byrne was a big point scorer but with 3 counting flounders on the night it was a well done to Chris Whyte taking the win with 98 points winning €66.
2nd place was won by Pat Byrne with 60 points winning €33.

Longest flattie outside the top 2 positions was shared by Stefan Martin and John Cunningham with 20cm fish each splitting €33.
Well done to all.
Also note we sold all the numbers for tonight’s lotto bonus ball draw for the Tronix pro rod with all the money €470 going towards the Bundoran R.N.L.I. and the good and new charity shop in aid of the Donegal Galway cancer bus
Go fishing…
