20 September: Epic guiding day for Vincent and his son who came down last minute following a last minute cancellation last night! Plenty of pike to 99cm, Trout to 50cm, Perch to 32cm. All safely released, great craic all day with the boys. Another few tails gone off the shads, Savage Gear sort a fella out, catching fish is getting expensive!
22 September: What a day! Perry joined me this morning for another day of guiding, the plan was the same as always, have the craic fishing for all 3 species! Top 5 pike today was 109cm (22.8lb) 95,91,90,85. We also had 12 trout with 5 fish reaching the 50cm mark, all safely released and Perch up to 35cm! Another great day with great company.
23 September: Another super day guiding Sean, huge amounts of algae around the Lough this week not so great to see. 18 trout, all safely released. A couple of pike (moody today) and perch up to 32cm.
Paul was also out on the 23rd. After a slow morning with a few smaller pike up to 90cms , Vinny tricked this meter plus pike into eating his bait. Paul says it was a super strong take and fight. They left another couple out there but are back out today for revenge. Looking forward to letting you know how it goes…
