The Rathdrum Trout Anglers held the TAFI All Ireland Senior Rivers Championship last weekend and this report is taken from their Facebook page:

T.A.F.I All-Ireland Senior River Championships 2025. Over the weekend, Rathdrum Trout Anglers held this year’s Championships on behalf of TAFI. We ran a new format developed over the year, which saw a Two-Day competition take place, with anglers controlling anglers. With each angler fishing 4 x 1hr45mins sessions and controlling 4 of the same sessions. It was a huge success. With 53 anglers taking part, with the hope for it to continue going forward. We had anglers from all over Ireland in the weeks leading up to it come practice & stay in our community, and the same over the weekend and reporting they had a great weekend at this event.
Congratulations to all the winners and qualifying anglers over the weekend, placing for the Irish Teams.

1st Dean Gates – Munster.
2nd Robert Hackett – Munster
