Colm Lynch reports that pike fishing was kicking off well prior to this weeks deluge. In the past few weeks the pike trade took off with anglers keen to get their hands on the latest gear. We had our first competition of the year recently down Shercock direction and the day started off bright and sunny before the rain arrived. Eleven fish were landed in total with twenty four anglers on the bank. Taking top honours on the day was Jimmy Clarke winning both first prize and the pool.
Colm Lynch had a chance to get out on Saturday with great success. Between himself and John Baker they had four fish for 64 lb the best was one beauty of my own coming in at 24.5 lb caught on a “luce baits ” roachĀ on a midlands lake.
Colm now advises that there is full range of all pikeĀ necessitiesĀ now in stock at the eastcoastangling angling stores. The stock includes Fox, Salmo and Salvage gear,Ā togetherĀ with a full range of the anglers favorite dead baitĀ ” luceĀ baits “.
