There was little or no angling on Carrowmore Lake for nearly two weeks due to weather conditions in late May. However, fishing has improved for the past 10 days with plenty good salmon caught by local and visiting anglers alike.

There were also some decent brownies caught as the lake gets a fair hatch of lake olives during this time of the year.

Sea trout have started to run the lake in better numbers and this raises hopes for exciting lough style fishing in the coming weeks.
