Senan Stanley and Paul Bourke have been getting some great fishing on Lough Derg over the last couple of weeks and since the trout season opened there’s a new species for them to target now too…
Paul had been enjoying the nice weather in between the rain last week and over the weekend. Fishing with guests he had some fish to the boat. The best pike were 106 cm, 103cms and there were also some 90s to make up the numbers.
Then to mark St Patrick’s Day, Senan and Paul were back on the lake with the aim to catch perch, pike and trout. And catch perch, pike and trout they did and with some style too!

I hope ye enjoyed this video, Paul and myself fish together in the lure fishing competition throughout the year so we get to practice every now and again at catching all three species in one day!”
