Pierre and Thibaut from Belgium were back out with me recently for two days of pike fishing. Conditions were classic Irish autumn—cool, fresh mornings with settled water—and the lads made the most of it. Ireland continues to be one of Europe’s top destinations for big, wild pike, and the two Belgian anglers certainly saw why. Again they landed some super fish, with the biggest measuring 109 cm and 103 cm this time, both powerful, hard-fighting Irish pike that gave them unforgettable battles.
