Martin McGorian wins inaugural Red O’Hanlon perpetual trophy on the River Dodder

The Dodder Anglers held an event in memory of lifelong Dodder advocate Red O’Hanlon this week. Red was a fixture on the banks of the Dodder for many years and was even around, handing out help and advice when I was a young lad, which wasn’t today or yesterday… It’s fair to say that the river wouldn’t be the massive amenity to anglers on the south side of the city if it wasn’t for Red’s stewardship over the years.

Martin McGorian was the proud winner of the trophy, a fabulous shield, and will be the first of many names inscribed on it. Tom Thornton came in second place, with Tommy Egan coming in third place.
