Shane Gallagher reports from the Drowes:
19th May: Fishing remained steady during the past week with good numbers of both springers and grilse running. Multiple fish were reported each day and many other fish lost. The water level stayed around 0.65 metres for much of the week, rising to only 0.69 metres and still running clear after 8 hours of rain on Saturday. The forecast for the week ahead is for mild, mainly dry conditions which should see water levels dropping slowly but steadily. This combined with large tides building ahead of Saturday’s full moon make for a promising outlook for the week ahead.
