Lindsey Clarke reports  from LOUGH MELVIN –  Monday 24th February  to Sunday 2nd March 2014.

There were some better conditions at times on Melvin but some periods when the weather was unfavourable for angling. The lake remained very high over the week once again. It seems the Lough was quiet this week and I have yet to hear of any salmon being caught. There was a reasonable angling effort given the conditions and with the good run of salmon through the river I would have expected a few salmon to be caught on Melvin. That’s fishing!
