NCFFI have announced that they will be hosting the 2015 FIPS-ed World Championships for Bank Fishing with Lures in Ireland.
At their recent Executive meeting the choice of Craigavon Lakes, (situated between the towns of Portadown and Lurgan in Co Armagh) as the venue for the event was unanimously agreed.
The NCFFI will be working in partnership with Craigavon District Council and the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure for Fisheries on the event which is expected to generate up to 3,000 bed nights for the area.
The World Championships will take place over the weekend 23/24 May 2015 with Pike, Perch and Rainbow Trout being the target species for the up to 20 International teams that are expected to attend.
For those that are interested in representing the Ireland Team, the NCFFI Predator CLUB Team will organise the team selection in early 2015.
