If you are a coarse or pike fishing enthusiast who wants to experience some of the best pike fishing in Leitrim, coupled with my Boat & Guiding service, you need not look any further! The Irish midlands is an area blessed with so many fisheries that it would take a life time to visit let alone fish each one of them. Some of these fisheries are well documented but I have also located some lesser known fisheries, the location of which I will keep secret to preserve the magic of exploring uncharted territory for the more adventurous angler. We are a boat and bike hire business based at the IFI mudflats match fishing stands south of Carrick. Our boats are 19ft and 17ft Sheelins with 6hp engines also Pioneer multi hull wheelchair friendly with helmsman, boats can be hired from Mudflats or Carrick quays. Also large selection of adults and kids bikes for hire.

Guide for trout & pike
Notes: The best months for trout fishing are April, May, June and September with Lough Arrow being a good venue for dapping a Mayfly and Lough Allen for big trout in September. David also fishes the Shannon and a few secret wild brown trout lakes and river., The Best time for pike is from September to March on various lakes and rivers and David can organise accommodation locally.

The Drowes Fishery is one of Ireland’s premier spring salmon and grilse fisheries. The river is some 5 miles in length, with over 70 named pools, flowing from Lough Melvin at Lareen Bay and entering the sea at Tullaghan, just outside Bundoran. The Drowes has a wide variety of water suitable for all fishing methods, including several miles of good fly water and deeper slower moving pools suitable for spinning and bait fishing.

Coarse fishing guide PAGI
Notes: Gabriel Cox offers guided coarse angling on and around the magnificent River Shannon. The River Shannon is well developed for angling and is famous for its Bream, Roach and specimen Pike. If you prefer still water fishing then Lough Aduff, Cartron, Lowfield and the Hillcrest lakes are just some of the waters where you will find lots of Bream, Rudd and Tench. There are a number of fishing tackle shops in the area but bait and tackle can be provided.

LOUGH ROWAN “PUT AND TAKE” TROUT FISHERY
Hidden away between the rolling hills of picturesque South Leitrim lies Lough Rowan a 100 acre Put and Take Fishery
Attracting anglers of all ages, Lough Rowan has impressive stock of hard fighting triploid rainbow trout reaching weights of up to 4lb. Most angling methods are catered for at the fishery (no maggots), which has excellent access facilities and ample shoreline for wading with boat hire available for members or visiting anglers.
