The newly formed NCFFI Predator Club recently spent 5 days in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria, representing Ireland at the FIPSed XII CArnivorous Artificial Bait Shore Angling World Championships.
Over the two days of the competition the team members Tomi Kurman, Jacek Gorny, Colin Rutherford, David Dennis and Lindsay McFadden caught 80 fish between them to secure 15th place overall. Fishing alongside the world’s best anglers in Lure fishing we didn’t think we did do so bad for a first attempt!
It was a fantastic learning experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by all, especially when all the teams shared tips & tactics after the event itself. Lot’s to bring home with us and work on for next year!
We would like to thank our sponsors Main Irish Angling, Inland Fisheries Ireland, Bumble Lures, Candy Plastics, who with the support from the NCFFI helped us to make this trip happen.
Next event is World Championships Boat Angling with Lures to be held in France this October. Please note this WILL NOT clash with the Lough Erne World Pike Classic. We will be holding qualifiers for this event on Lough Erne, Co.Fermamnagh over two weekends 21/22 June and 2/3 August and invite anyone interested to attend.
