CO DUBLIN
Wavin Lake, Co. Dublin
Wavin lake (formerly known as the Knock lake) was taken over by the Gormanston and District Anglers club in 1993. The small lake covers an area of approximately 26 acres. The lake is quite shallow with an average depth of 6-7 feet, with a couple of 12 foot holes.
The lake is a rainbow trout fishery and is open all year around. Fishing can be difficult in June, July and August due to weed growth. There is no bait fishing allowed on the Wavin lake at all and the club promotes fly fishing. (limited spinning is allowed on the east bank, with single barbless hooks). The bag limit is 3 fish and day passes are available.
