Coarse Angling Report from Mike Risdon

Three weeks of festivals on Inniscarra Lake started on 27th August with the one day August Open held from O’Callaghan’s Bar in Coachford with 38 entries. The result was:

  • 1st Charlie Greaves, Leitrim with 21 kgs 400gms.
  • 2nd Peter Jones, Dunmanway with 20-700.
  • 3rd Dave Carter, Surrey with 17-950.
  • 4th Dave Lawrence, Somerset with 16-800.

This was followed by the Vintners Cup with 39 entries. The result was:

Day 1. Charlie Greaves with 23 kgs 000gms.
Day 2. Dave Carter with 28-400.
Day 3. Peter Jones with 23-800.

Overall winners were:

  • 1st. Charlie Greaves with 70 kgs 800 gms.
  • 2nd. Matt Forster, UK with 66-100.
  • 3rd. Dave Carter with 59-150.
