What pleasant autumnal temperatures we have been having this past week.  Hopefully it will continue for a little longer since anglers are still keen to use dry a lot of the time.  Derry’s Maurice Whiteman banked thirteen in total using dries and a few suspender buzzers while Maghera’s Pearse Doherty released five which took his favourite fly.  Young Daniel Reilly (Maghera) had a short day but nevertheless he banked two trout which took a wee black lure.  Pearse Mc Gill (Lavey) used nymphs and buzzers to hook five good trout which he released back into the lake.  Draperstown’s Damien Donnelly didn’t manage to get any trout to the bank.

Our annual competition will be held on Saturday the 29th October 2011.  Please get in contact as soon as possible if interested in taking part as places are limited.

River Licences are on sale at Cashel Trout Fishery during Fishery opening hours.

We are taking group bookings for any angling club or corporate groups interested in a fun day.  Catering facilities are available in the adjacent Cashel Fishing Lodge.
