Ballybay Anglers Association organized a two day event last weekend on Namachree and Muckno (Concrea Wood Section).  This is the second year of this event and this year the event was sponsored by Inland Fisheries Ireland.  Forty anglers took part and the draw for the event took place in Ballybay Wetland Center while the presentation was held on Sunday night in the Welcome Inn, Ballybay.  The following is a list of the winners:-

2nd. Rory O’Neill             35lb 05ozs

3rd. Darren Fairhurst       30lb

4th. Philip Jackson          29lb 12ozs

5th. Nick Seddon            29lb 05ozs

6th. Cathal Hughes          28lb 15ozs

Bolganard is producing good Tench and Bream, while Brackley is producing good mixed bags up to 80/90lbs.

Water levels are very high at Killykeen but anglers report plenty of small Roach and Skimmers.

Rockfield is producing nice Bream up to 3lbs and good mixed bags of Roach and Perch.

Gulladoo (match stretch), Corfree and Hollybank also match stretch are all reported to be giving good bags of fish with Bream up to 4lb.

There are plenty of anglers in the Cootehill area and they report bags of small fish up to 30lb.  Good Tench is being caught on Mullinary and Corravoo while plenty of Skimmer Bream, Roach and Perch on Sillan and good Roach on Skeagh Lake.
