Jack Tisdall reports that on Sunday last, 22 anglers turned out for the latest match in the Float Only Winter League on a mild and calm day.
The match was fished on the at Shannon Erne /waterway canal at No1 Lock and at the Bellanaleck Marina on the River Erne.
Both venues fished quite well, with quality Roach on the Pole making up most of the catches.
The winner of the match was Keith Murphy (Tempo) with 9.700 Kgs, fishing on peg 4 at Bellanaleck.
He just managed to pip John Potters (Lisbellaw) 9.100 Kgs at the next peg.
Third overall was David Burleigh (Kinawley) who caught 6.680 Kgs from peg 5 on the canal at No1 Lock, he just managed to beat
One of the junior members of the club Jordan Hall (Lisnaskea) who had 6.600Kgs at the next peg.
The other section winners were Tony Kersley (Ballycassidy) 5.400 kgs at Bellanaleck and Jack Tisdall (Ballinamallard) 3.650 Kgs in the Harbour at No1 Lock.
Neil Mazurek (Cootehill) remains on top of the league with 42 points.
