THE annual All-Ireland Trout Angling Competition for anglers with special needs took place at Loch an Dochais, Kilcormac on Sunday, May 27.

Over twenty anglers from seven different counties took part. The weather was beautiful, competition was very keen and a very good catch was recorded. A catch of thirty-five trout was weighed in.

The results were; 1st and winner of the Mary Robinson Perpetual Trophy Jim Houlihan representing Tipperary with a catch of four trout weighing 9.25lbs. In 2nd place was local man Rodge Molloy with a catch of four trout weighing 6.3lbs. Third place went to Darragh Kelly with a catch of four trout weighing 6lbs.
