There has been a call for Kildare County Council to clear the vegetation build-up in the stream leading into the culvert on the Sallins Road, Clane at the Crocán roundabout.
Cllr. Padraig McEvoy made his call at last Tuesday’s meeting of Clane Electoral Area Committee Councillors, September 11.
In a written report, the Area Office said they had obtained permission and funds from the Council’s Water Services Department to remove some of the vegetation on the open sections of the Butterstream and will have to undertake this work by the end of September to avoid the seasonal fisheries restrictions…..
