An enterprising Lough Allen College student has set up the school’s first Fishing Club. Daniel Lambert, a Leaving Certificiate Student founded the Lough Allen College Fishing Club because of a life-long love of fishing. “And I want to promote the sport through my school. It helps people make friendships in the school and creates a friendly environment for students to relax after school by the beautiful lakes and rivers Leitrim has to offer,” he told the Leitrim Observer. “It also promotes awareness of environmental issues.”
