Italian couple Sara Bastianelli and Andrea Easagrande were holidaying across the country last week, and dropped into James McKeow of the Austin Friars Hotel before heading to Dublin. Andrea is a fishing fanatic, and we spent a few hours spinning for pike last week. We had very little time, but still managed to boat 4 pike, and also lost a few fish. Andrea was very impressed with the quality of the fishing, and the facilities here in Mullingar for visiting Anglers. I will be keeping in touch with Andrea and Sara, and they will be checking our weekly Angling reports from the Midlands. Next year Andrea plans to fish the lakes and rivers across Westmeath with some of his friends from Umbria, Parugia.Sara also enjoyed the few hours out on the lake, and I reckon the photograph of Andrea and Sara tells its own story.
