Michael Flanagan reports:
DARBY DELIGHTED AS PIKE TAKES THE BAIT. I ventured out last week with one of the Midlands Top predator and competition Angler Barry Darby. We spent a few hours trolling Hard & Soft colorful Lures, In search of pike. Sure enough Barry was in the thick of the action right into Darkness, and I photographed some lovely fish. Some of the takes were Savage, and I hope to be Out & About with Barry on another Angling Adventure quite soon.
IT’S ALL ABOUT PIKE. Yep it’s all pike news this week, and Stan Ryan of Dublin was on Lough Lene last weekend with some Angling pals. They had a splendid day on Lene, thanks to some sound advice from Tom Fagan Chairman of Lough Lene Angling Association. The lads are keane Sea Anglers and members of Borough Sea Angling Club. Hopefully in the coming weeks I will hook-up with the lads, and swap a days piking for Sea fishing.
LOUGH BANE SOCIAL NIGHT. The Lough Bane social night held in Teddy’s Bar Moylagh was a great success, and Top prize in the Fundraising draw of 500 Euro was won by one of my Twins Adam. Paddy Govern of Lough Bane was 2nd with Castlepollard lad Seamus Leahy 3rd. John Cooke Hon-Secretary of Lough Bane Anglers Association presented Adam Flanagan with his prize.
