River Feale, Kerry report by Paddy Halpin:
Lots of water about for the week but fish are still scarce and only reports of 5 fish being caught for the week on the Feale, one of the lucky anglers was young angler Nathan Hurley from Newcastlewest Co. Limerick ( see pic.) while out fishing with his Grandad Joe. Nathan hooked and landed a fine fresh Salmon while fishing the Killocrim/Finuge Fishery at the Dam on the Tuesday 3rd of July. The fish rattled the scales at 9lbs so well done to Nathan. Water levels on the Feale at the moment are dropping and things are looking up for the rest of the coming week when water will better suit the fly angler.
