Paul Harris from Beara Sea Fishing writes:

Sunday Sept 16th: Marcus and brother Nick headed back to the UK today after a long weekend visit. Out to beat their 9-1 pollack they caught on a visit earlier in the year it was not to be as the weather pushed them off their favourite marks. Not to be beaten however they targeted wrasse and took many fine fish to 4lbs 11ozs, just one ounce short of an Irish Specimen. Top fish was a super specimen 3lbs 6oz Trigger fish, one of several they caught. Crab was the winning bait.
Lots of bass about at the moment and it is almost easier to catch a bass than a mackerel.
Ron from Liverpoola did a great job of keeping the house stocked with mackerel this week and also helped himself to some good huss to 6lb and thornback ray to 8lbs.
