A week of big fish from the shore on the Beara with a specimen Bull Huss taking pride of place.
Barry and son Greg Diaper were on their second visit to the Beara and caught a good variety of fish including cod to 6lb, pollack to 5lb, wrasse to nearly 4lb and conger to over 10lbs.

They also took several big huss but the top fish fell to Barry with a magnificent specimen of 16lb 4oz. On the same day they also caught a specimen Cuckoo wrasse but not realising it at the time released it with no picture taken.
Harry Hursey was back for his second trip of the year and top fish for him was a personal best 4lb 4oz Ballan Wrasse. He would certainly have beaten this with a large fish hooked at Dursey which bit through the 14lb line and escaped. On the same trip I joined up with thim and in 3 casts had pollack of 8lbs 1oz and 6lbs 12ozs.
