Adrian Browne reports on the activities last weekend at Oakland Lakes in New Ross.
Very windy conditions met the 16 anglers for the open match on Sunday June 23rd. The fishing was very good for most with 748lbs caught between the 16 anglers.

Adrian tells us next weekend will be busy at Oaklands. On Saturday the Munster junior closed draw is at 10.30am with fishing from 12 to 3pm and Sunday June 30th they have a silverfish match draw at 9.30am with fishing from 11am to 4pm. Adults €10, Junior’s €5. The final leg of Oakland Lake’s Junior League will be run with this competition.
Places are filling up quick for the Dunbrody festival 6th & 7th July, so anyone who is still interested please get your name down as soon as possible.
