Alice Murtagh in our Corlesmore office reprots that water levels are very low at present and temperatures very high and reports are being received daily of fish in distress. Anglers are reminded to refrain from using keep nets during this period of warm weather. (Fish in Distress alert)

Three English anglers fishing Trinity and the Killeshandra area report bags of fish up to 100lb with plenty of Bream up to 4lb.  Some nice Bream are also showing at Bells Shore, Bawn Lake while good mixed bags are being caught on Dereskit with plenty of Roach.  Killykeen is giving good bags of fish mostly small Roach and Perch.  Good mixed bags are reported from Town Lake Killeshandra.

Fishing in the Cavan area generally is producing good Tench the heaviest recorded at 4.9kg.

There are some anglers in the Cootehill area who report good bags of small fish including Hybrids.
