Active Irish Angling looks ahead to 2014 and gives us a list of Ireland’s Match Open Angling Festivals 2014:
It is the longest list of formal angling competitions open to all anglers, used both by pleasure anglers wanting avoid clashing with pre-booked venues and the huge numbers of match anglers now coming to Ireland. Altogether there are 40 events from May until October and a massive increase in the 1970’s and 80’s when there were just the “Magnificent Seven” major events.
