Yes it was not safe if you were a fish, and the Smiths were around last weekend. Our good pal Marty Smith from Macklesfield near Manchester was back in Mullingar.We had a few scorching days on Lene and Derravaragh, with some super trout, perch and Pike taking our Lures. It was certainly hard going, and we worked hard to get a few fish.
On Lene the fish took a shine to a small 6cm Rapala Lure, and we boated pike, perch and trout on the Ultra Light Minnow, which only drops down t o2-3 ft when trolled. The Silver /Purple colour worked best, and is a reel Eye catching lure. Over the weekend we put the new Shimano 6000RB Baitrunner to the test on our Midland fish, and its some fishing machine.
