I happened to run into some of the members of the Fishmaniak Polish Fishing Club (Pawel Ladniak and Pawel Orlow) at the Ireland Angling Show in Swords on Saturday last 16th Febuary 2013. With all the rain lately, fishing venues are scarce and the lads have sent on some information to notify people about their next pike competition which they plan to hold on Lough Egish on Sunday 24th February ’13. Fishing will be taking place between 8am-4pm and the lads have pegged out the section they plan to use for the event and kindly request that anglers leave the pegged (signed) sections for those participating in this event. The club have erected some signs already with information about the event beside the gates along the Castleblayney Road. The lads have also flagged that they intend to be fishing at the island too. You assistance and cooperation would be very much appreciated.
