German anglers Peter and Michaela from Munich enjoyed a great fishing holiday on Lough Muckno recently. The pair had some fine pike, their biggest measuring 108 cm and estimated to weigh in at 21lb.

They concentrated on only trolling and did particularly well around White Island. Peter and Michaela ot only enjoyed good fishing but were also treated to beautiful weather conditions, sunny and warm – almost no rain.

Of course the sunny weather effected the fishing and the first day’s  pike weren’t very active, but during the last days of their stay the fish fed aggressively all through the day.

In Germany fish aren’t measured by weight but by length and the biggest ones they caught were 92cm, 95cm, 96cm, 98cm, 100cm, 102cm, 108cm.
