Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) has claimed that it has received extensive support from the Irish seafood industry for the controversial proposed Galway Bay Salmon Farm. According to a statement released by BIM, in excess of 60 seafood and associated companies from the west and north-west coasts, currently employing in excess of 1800 staff, have pledged their strong support for this project.
