26 June: Grilse have continued to run in significant numbers this week despite slowly dropping water. Water levels are now at 0.45 metres with little prospect of rain on the horizon. There have been good numbers of grilse reported each day since my last report. Again, this week most fish have been taken in the upper stretches on worm and prawn. The Red Roof, Mill Pool, Corry and Island Pool have all produced good numbers of fish as have the Sea Pools. Saturday fished particularly well with some anglers hooking up to 8 fish.

There was a small rise in water levels over Saturday night and Sunday which helped ensure good sport continued through the start of the week. Today has been dry and sunny but there have been fish taken from The Mill, Sea Pools and Island and between the bridges. The forecast is for cloudier conditions over the next few days with light rain which will have little impact on water levels.
