Paul Harris reports for the Beara Peninsula and Dromagowlane House:
Jason, Mark Gav and Paul were over for their annual visit and as usual ray were high on their list of targets. All the usual marks were fished and most produced the goods with thornies to 13 lbs and Spotted to 6lbs a good time was had by all.
No Doubt about it, specimen Spotted rays are like buses – you wait all year for one then two come along at once. Well done to Gav for his 6lbs 4oz and 5lbs 2oz spotties caught within a few hours of each other.
Finished on a high note with 19 thornies on the last day. And the sun shone all week as well!.
