The Erne estuary this week started to fish reasonably well with anglers reporting plenty of trout from both shore and boat . On Thursday evening Thomas Mc Garrigle and his 10yr old son Odhran left the mall quay at 6.30 in the evening with James Cummins from northwestanglers.ie and returned after an action packed evening at 10 pm having landed 9 trout and lost 10 more . All the fish were about 1.5lb in weight and were taken on small sandeels . Anglers fishing larger eels earlier in the day didnt seem to have any real success .
